Woks & Lox Christmas Eve Dinner At Kickshaw
Ever since the first lonely Jew ordered Chinese take-out on Christmas, there has been an undeniable bond between these cultures. This Christmas Eve, Woks and Lox will be celebrating the second annual Chinese & Jewish Christmas celebration.
The dinner & nosh party, with food prepared by pioneering chef Chichi Wang, will take place on Monday, December 24 at The Queens Kickshaw. Food selections will include Matzohball & Rice Cake Soup, 5 Spice/Sichuan Peppercorn “Gunpowder” Latkes, and Farmer’s Cheese & Potato Wonton Pierogies.
But it doesn’t stop at food – the evening will also feature the ladies of Mah Jong, a Bar Mitzvah-esque sign-in board, a Chinese auction with prizes from our sponsors (see below) with proceeds from the auction going to Jews for Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ) and Committee Against Anti-Asian Violence (CAAAV) - and lots more Jewish and Asian-inspired fun.
The dinner, which includes the nosh party afterward, is at 6 PM, and tickets are $59. If you decide to go for the nosh party only, that begins at 8 PM, with tickets costing $28. To get your tickets, click here–and hurry, they’re going fast!
