Donations For Breezy Point & The Rockaways

Even if you don’t have the time to volunteer to help those in need after Hurricane Sandy, you can still donate to residents of Breezy Point and the Rockaways, the parts of Queens affected most drastically and terribly by this storm.

The New York Irish Center at 10-40 Jackson Ave in LIC is making it easy for you to make a difference for those who are suffering right now. On Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 8 PM, the NY Irish Center will be accepting donations of emergency supplies. Members of the Center will transport all items to the Rockaways and Breezy Point.

The items most needed include clothes, blankets, bedding, cots, toiletries, diapers, jackets, baby items, non-perishable canned food, and bottled water. The Center would like to note that this is a call for emergency supplies only and they will not be accepting monetary donations.

Any items you can donate are greatly appreciated.
