“Vegan Eats World” Book Signing This Wednesday

Earlier this fall, BORO reported that plans were underway to bring an independent bookstore to Astoria. While The Astoria Bookshop does not yet have a definite location or opening date, Lexi Beach, the woman behind it all, is already planning book-related events for the community.

The first of these events will be held at 7 PM this Wednesday, November 7 at SITE. Terry Hope Romero, Queens resident, acclaimed food writer, and co-author of Veganomicon, will be signing her new cookbook, Vegan Eats World.  The book features 300 reinvented international recipes. The best part? It is all inspired by the culinary diversity that our borough is known for!

Besides meeting the author and purchasing a copy of her book, attendees will also be able to sample snacks from Vegan Eats World. If you’re a foodie and/or a book lover you certainly don’t want to miss this event!
