Astoria Art Festival This Weekend

In September, BORO did a post about an open call for the Astoria Art Festival. Whether you submitted your work or not, the festival, presented by the In Bloom Collective, is going on this weekend, November 9-11,  and it’s well worth checking out!

More than 30 local artists ranging from painters to photographers to mixed media artists will have their work featured in local businesses such as SITE, Pachanga Patterson, and Cafe Bar. You can visit any of the locations (see a full list and map here) at any point throughout the weekend to check out great locally made art.

In addition, there will be a lot of parties, events, and openings to keep the weekend festive! Hell Gate Social will host an opening party on Friday from 9 PM-1 AM. The party will include two DJs, a slideshow featuring work from every artist in the festival, and vendors selling “Jewelry as Art.” A full list of events and parties can be found here.
